Call for Proposals Teaching and Learning Innovations Conference

The theme of this year's Teaching and Learning Innovations (TLI) conference is Assessment: informing learning & teaching  We invite faculty, sessionals, instructors, staff and students to propose a 20-minute showcase or a 50-minute workshop related to assessment methods and strategies that seek to enhance the learning experience. As well, we welcome proposals that describe practices aimed at changing student attitudes or perspectives on learning through assessment.

Congratulations Grant Hagedorn-PDAC's 10th Annual Student-Industry Exploration Workshop Award

Grant has been selected to attend the  PDAC’s 10th annual Student-Industry Mineral Exploration Workshop (S-IMEW).   He will be one of 26 senior geosciences students from across Canada  who will meet in Sudbury for this 2-week all expenses-paid workshop. This hands-on intensive learning experience is designed to give the students an opportunity to experience the many facets of the mineral exploration industry.

The Library is hosting a free two-day Writers Workshop over reading week, Feb 18 & 19 and we invite you to attend.  Students, staff, faculty or the public can register to attend one or all of the sessions featuring U of G faculty, staff and/or community writers covering a number of writing topics ranging from blogging to academic publishing.

Apiculture Videographer -Honey Bee Research Centre, University of Guelph

With the burgeoning interest in honeybees, we can no longer keep up with the demand for our educational services without more resource material. We would like to hire an individual with audio visual and web design skills to work with our team in an initiative to improve our honey bee educational resources.

Research Associate position with School of Environmental Sciences

In support of research conducted by Drs. Madhur Anand, Professor at the School of Environmental Sciences and Research Chair at University of Guelph, and Dr. Chris Bauch, Professor of Applied Mathematics and University Research Chair at the University of Waterloo and Adjunct professor at the School of Environmental Sciences, University of Guelph, the incumbent would be employed as a Research Associate at the University of Guelph, School of Environmental Sciences.

Specific responsibilities include:

Master of Science (MSc) position in SES with Dr. Mike Dixon

Project title: Irrigation Management Strategies for Medicinal Cannabis in Controlled Environments  Primary Advisor(s): Dr. Michael Dixon/Dr. Thomas Graham Term: 2 years/6 semesters

Start: Immediate  Stipend: Full stipend as per University of Guelph standards
