OMAFRA-UofG Research Program  public Town Hall will be held on Tuesday, September 29th, 2015, 3:00-4:30 pm, OVC Room 1714. 

Let's Talk Science is looking for 3rd and 4th year undergrads, grad students, vet students, staff and faculty volunteers to help deliver Free hands-on science activities to kids from kindergarten to grade 12. The time commitment is low (minimum requirement of 5 hours per semester) and is very rewarding by helping young students get excited about science, technology, math and engineering. 

Are you interested in Grad School in Environmental Sciences? SES is hosting an informal meet and greet with faculty to learn about Grad School opportunities! The SES Fall Seminar Series will kick off with Dr. Myrna J. Simpson from the Environmental NMR Centre and Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences, University of Toronto Scarborough. She will discuss "Molecular biogeochemistry of soil organic matter with global environmental change" on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in ALEX 218 .  All are welcome to attend!   

The IDS Speaker Series Event Nutrition, chronic disease, and shifting livelihoods: lessons from rural India features Dr. Cate Dewey - Dept of Population Medicine, Dr. Sally Humphries - Dept. of Sociology & Anthropology, and Matthew Little - IDS PhD Candidate. Everyone welcome!

The GTC will be hosting a workshop on developing skills for new and seasoned graduate teaching assistants specific to all departments within OAC. It will take place Thursday September 24th from 2 to 4pm in MCKN 227.

Dr. Des Gasper will be giving a talk on Impacts on Health and Mortality of Climate Change, and the Ethical Implications on September 23rd 2015 at 11:30am in MCKN 230.  Dr.

Staff/Faculty vs Grad Students Soccer Game September 18 from 3 - 5pm on the East field at the Gryphon Soccer Complex. There will be a new grads welcome reception and celebratory drinks after the game!    

The University of Guelph Canadian Obesity Network CON-SNP Chapter is hosting Trivia Night Tuesday September 15th from 5 to 7:30 pm - Grad Lounge, 5 th Floor UC
