An international panel of scientists, including a University of Guelph professor, is calling for an evidence-based debate over whether controversial and widely used neonicotinoid insecticides are causing population declines in bees and other insect pollinators.

They currently have an early harvest of Elm Oyster (Pleurotus) Hypsizygus ulmarius, mushrooms available for $10.00/lb, and will have an increasingly wide selection of gourmet species for sale throughout the summer and fall, ranging in price from $5-15/lb. Their tasty mushrooms are grown on coffee grounds from cafes on campus and locally sourced wheat straw. These young farmers would be greatly appreciative of your business!

The workshop is titled "Resource Evaluation - Discovery to Feasibility: Drill Core Sampling, Mineralogy and Geometallurgy in Support of Resource Estimation". The Office of Diversity and Human Rights (DHR) is hiring 2 Communications and Research Interns to work at our office for the summer semester. The Interns will be involved in preparations for Orientation Week and our Fall Open House, as well as completing research projects related to our mandate. Research presented at the OPMC will focus on all aspects of pest management associated with food and fibre production, and animal and human health. The theme of this year’s conference is “Advancing Plant Health in a Changing World”.
