Environmental Entomology
Research in environmental entomology concerns fundamental and applied aspects of entomology and ecology. Research activities encompass insect systematics, the interaction of insects with biological, chemical and physical aspects of their environments, management of insect pests and conservation of beneficial species. SES is home to the University of Guelph Insect Collection - Canada’s oldest insect collection and one of North America’s most important heritage collections.
