Those applying must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Enrolled in a Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s program at a recognized Ontario College

or University (N

ote

: PhD students not eligible);

●

Possess a high degree of interest and ability in the

area of soils and water management;

●

Hold Canadian citizenship or be recognized as a Permanent Resident.

To apply for this Award four materials are required to be submitted:

* A completed application form,

* A copy of University/College Undergraduate/Diploma Transcript(s), and

* Two brief (300 word) compositions

 

Applications will be evaluated using the following Criteria:

* Maintaining good academic standing in natural resource management courses

* Ability to relate education program to interest or career goals in soil and water conservation

* Value of assistance from Award towards achieving career goals

* Perspective on relevant soil and water conservation issues in the Province of Ontario

* Commitment and service related to soil and water conservation (SWCS membership an asset)

* Good writing skills and completeness of application
