Wildlife Preservation Canada is now hiring a Pollinator Field Assistant to assist with at-risk pollinator surveys across southern-Ontario. This person will be responsible for field work and data collection, as well as assisting with literature reviews and other tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with at-risk and declining pollinator species and directly contribute to recovery efforts. The tentative start date for this position is mid-February, so please apply asap as the position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found.

They are also meant to encourage you to undertake graduate studies and pursue a research career in these fields. If you would like to gain research work experience that complements your studies in an academic setting then these type of awards may be of interest to you.
LED lights are more energy-efficient than standard greenhouse lights. Prof. Youbin Zheng, Environmental Sciences, is studying how different coloured LED (light-emitting diode) lights affect the growth of plants in greenhouses.
