SES Fall 2015 Seminar Series - Dr. Chris Cutler

The Guelph Lecture -- On Being Canadian

The 2015 Guelph Lecture -- On being Canadian will serve as the centerpiece to the Spur Guelph Festival three-day event as it explores new possibilities that we can imagine as Canadians. Speakers include Jaron Lanier (new horizons for the Internet age) and Lee Maracle (writings from residence at a nature reserve).  This Event will take place Friday, November 13, at the River Run Center in Guelph.

Ontario Pest Management Conference 2015

The 13th Annual Ontario Pest Management Conference on the Convergence of Food Security and Sustainable Pest Management will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Victoria East Golf Club, 1096 Victoria Rd. S., Guelph, ON. Speakers include Dr. G. Christopher Cutler, Dalhousie University  and Dr. Peter H. Sikkema, University of Guelph - Ridgetown Campus Registration opens August 24th!

2015 Campus Author Recognition Event - Thomas King

Please join us as we celebrate the 10th year of the Campus Author Recognition Program. This year we will be joined by Thomas King, celebrated author and Professor Emeritus, who will be reading an excerpt from his book, The Back of the Turtle , for which he was awarded the prestigious Governor General’s Literary Award for Fiction in 2014. 

Short-rotation Woody Crop Systems Development Field Day

 The National Field Exhibition and tour on woody biomass harvest and utilization will include presentations/exhibits by researchers, developers, and biomass specialists showcasing high-yield afforestation, biomass production and agroforestry management regimes, operational practices, commercial harvesting technologies, and climate change adaptation option

MCB Distinguished Speaker Series - Dr. Rheal Towner

Our next speaker in the MCB Distinguished Speaker Series is Dr. Rheal Towner, Director, Advanced Magnetic Resonance Center, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.  His seminar is entitled: “Assessment of in vivo free radicals in various pre-clinical diseases models:  From diabetes to neurological disorders” and Dr. David Josephy is faculty host.    Everyone is welcome to attend.
