FOREST FIRES: Our Current Understandings

The Hammond Lecture Series began in 2000 in honour of Kenneth Hammond, founder of Hammond Manufacturing and former member of U of G’s Board of Governors. Hammond was an advocate of environmental and resource issues and environmental education.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Marc-André Parisien

Dr. Parisien is a research scientist at the Canadian Forest Service, Northern Forestry Centre, (Edmonton, Alberta) where he has been working with the fire research group since 2000. He will talk about "Forest or Wildfire Impacts due to Climate Change – recent/present understanding, risks and impacts".
