SES Graduate-Faculty Mentorship Program

The SES Graduate-Faculty Mentorship Program aims to create formal connections between graduate (thesis) students and postdoctoral fellows with SES faculty mentors. While all graduate students have a thesis supervisor, these relationships alone are not always enough to support the whole student and their experiences in graduate school. Mentorship can offer many benefits to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, including increased:

  • academic success
  • networking and formal connections
  • program retention
  • support in their personal and professional development

Mentors and mentees will be encouraged to meet at least once per semester. The minimum commitment for mentorship is one academic year.
