As the semester wraps up, we would like to inform you that the Student FoodBank will be hosting our Winter Semester Food Drive, starting on Monday, March 30th and going until Friday, April 17th. Bins will be set up in the UC Courtyard and MacKinnon Lobby for those interested in supporting us.
To give you some ideas of what to donate, the following is a list of items we are most in need of:
- Peanut butter
- Canned tuna/salmon
- Peanut free snacks for children's lunches
- Beans and lentils
- Juice
- Tomato sauce
- Dry pasta
- Canned soups
- Feminine hygiene products
- Personal items such as toothpaste, soap, and laundry detergent
We can also make arrangements to accept donations of perishable items such as produce or milk which are also in very high demand at the Student FoodBank.
If you are willing, we would appreciate you circulating this information amongst your networks - attached is a poster to help you do so. If you have any questions about the food drive or the work that the FoodBank does, please let me know!
