Inquire: Graduate Certificate in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning

Open Learning and Educational Support is pleased to announce the offering of a new, non-degree, certificate program entitled "inquire: Graduate Certificate in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning." inquire is a unique, Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA) accredited, one-year blended program designed for graduate students and instructors looking to engage in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). The inaugural cohort will begin the inquire certificate in May 2015 and registrations are now being accepted at inquireguelph.com
 
Participants enrolled in the certificate will collaboratively research a self-directed question related to teaching and learning. Participants will be guided through three, sequential courses that scaffold the process of ethically identifying, investigating, and disseminating research in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
 
The inquire certificate is a blended learning experience with two face-to-face sessions held at the University of Guelph. inquire commences with a four-day Action Institute held fromMay 5-8, 2015 and concludes with a two-day capstone experience at the University of Guelph’s Teaching and Learning Innovations Conference in Spring 2016. The remainder of the certificate will be conducted at a distance to provide participants the flexibility to conduct their own disciplinary studies while simultaneously enhancing their abilities in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
