Textbooks for Change boxes

Submitted by jscarrow on February 12th, 2015 10:55 AM

Textbooks for Change boxes will be located in the Bovey Building Greenhouse Cafe and Alexandra Hall Lobby.  Textbooks for Charge are a  social enterprise that collects used textbooks and redistributes them to those in need around the world. About half of the textbooks they collect are sent to post-secondary institutions in Africa who are in dire need of this quality educational material. The other portion will either be recycled efficiently, or sold online at an affordable price to students across North America. When textbooks are sold, we split proceeds between sustainably running our initiative and giving back in the form of micro-loans to entrepreneurs, or we provide donations to socially purposed student clubs.

We are reaching out to you today to ask  you  to  donate any textbooks or other books that are no longer being used .  There is an information package attached with the details.

We have had tremendous success with a number of post-secondary institutions across Ontario.
