Updated information on the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program and competition is now available on the Office of Graduate Studies website at the following link:

The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program provides funding to the very best postdoctoral applicants, both nationally and internationally, who will positively contribute to the country's economic, social and research‑based growth. Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada and foreign citizens are eligible to apply. Keep in mind that only in exceptionally rare circumstances will a Banting PDF be awarded to an applicant who is staying at the same institution or within the same research environment where the PhD was completed.

Important Dates:
August 20, 2014 - Application package is due to the Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies (ADR&GS) of the proposed College
September 3, 2014 - The application and nomination letter is due from the ADR&GS to the Office of Graduate Studies via email
September 24, 2014 (8:00pm EDT) - If endorsed by the University of Guelph, the complete application must be submitted by the applicant to the agency via ResearchNet


The applicant should thoroughly review the information on the Graduate Studies website concerning our internal application process as well as the eligibility criteria outlined on the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships website.
