NSERC CREATE Great Lakes Program

decorative

The CREATE [1] training program on multiple stressors and cumulative effects in the Great Lakes ecosystems is designed to train the next generation of scientists and policy-makers to understand and address the complex issues currently impacting the Great Lakes ecosystems.

Conceptualized as part of the Great Lakes Futures Project, the CREATE [1] program will train students using a trans-boundary, multidisciplinary approach that integrates scientific, social, and economic dimensions, promoting direct interactions between researchers, policy makers, and the public sector.

See www.creategreatlakes.org [1] for more information.

The University of Guelph’s SES distinguishes itself from other environmental science programs in that it comprises a true integration of the life and physical sciences to address important environmental problems in forest, aquatic and agro-ecosystems.
In addition to our unique research capabilities, the SES is committed to providing a learner-centered environmental science education to undergraduate and graduate students – one that is second to none in North America.
