Environmental Toxicology

Environmental toxicology is concerned with the effects and mechanisms of action of toxic substances to human and ecosystem health including water, air and soil quality, plant health, microbe and insect effects, and sustainable agriculture. The contribution that diet, herbs and nutraceuticals may make to toxicity and health are also being recognized by SES faculty. This program offers a strong foundation in the scientific disciplines related to toxicology, including biochemistry, chemistry, genetics, physiology, and risk assessment.
