Guelph Institute for the Environment

The Guelph Institute for the Environment is a service institute that helps connect governmental, industry and NGO groups with University of Guelph faculty so that these groups might be able to benefit from the specialized knowledge, equipment and facilities that we possess.

For more information, contact Professor Jonathan Newman [1], Director, School of Environmental Sciences.

The University of Guelph’s SES distinguishes itself from other environmental science programs in that it comprises a true integration of the life and physical sciences to address important environmental problems in forest, aquatic and agro-ecosystems.
In addition to our unique research capabilities, the SES is committed to providing a learner-centered environmental science education to undergraduate and graduate students – one that is second to none in North America.
